White Knight AAU Junior Olympics performance of the meet goes to Joshua Johnson Jr. Joshua checked all 3 All-American boxes in the 200, 400 and Long Jump.

Josh proved he’s the best 11 year old long jumper in the country winning the national title while simultaneously competing in the 200 meter finals. Josh won the event on his last jump after returning from the 200 meter finals and taking 3 jumps in 5 mins.

Josh also set personals bests in the 400 meter finals (57.81) to place 3rd and in the 200 meters (25.81) on his way to a 5th place finish in the finals.

Our sixteenth spotlight athlete is Trevor White Jr. Trevor is the AAU District silver and Regional gold medalist in the LJ. Trevor was bronze at both district and regional meets in the High Jump and the regional champion in the Javelin. Trevor was an All-American last year in the Javelin and National Champion in the Turbo Jav in 2022.

The White Knights took an early season trip to Charlotte, North Carolina to jump start the season. We demonstrated what a complete track & field team from Baltimore looks like scoring in sprints, throws, jumps and mid distance. Athletes broke 2 meet records and came home with a 3rd Place Trophy. The White Knights competed at the #USATF Youth Indoor National Championship at The Ocean Breeze Facility in Staten Island, NY this weekend. Our young people represented the city of #Baltimore extremely well. USATF competes in dual age groups (8u, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14) opposed to single age groups and you must place top 6 opposed to top 8. Our 28 athletes concluded the meet boasting 2 national championships and 19 All-Americans raking in 26 total medals. Athletes set 37 personal records in the process. Donations are tax deductible, we operate as a 501c3. Our fundraiser goal is $30,000 to purchase a Minibus or passenger van. Travel can be costly for families and eliminating this cost, particularly for athletes who travel without parental support would expand the scope of our support for our young people.

We strive to maximize youths potential on the track, in the classroom and in the community through mentorship, community service, academic accountability and athletics by providing a safe place to develop.
